Himalayan Slate Coasters
A piece of the mountain at your table.
For generations, homes across the Himalaya sheltered both bees and people beneath slate roofs within thick stone walls. As these vernacular structures disappear, so do the traditions they sustained.
Hand-cut from Himalayan slate and finished with beeswax and felt, these coasters are small reminders of a long co-existence between bees, people & place.
SDG-1 envisions a world free of poverty. The process of beekeeping, gathering, and packaging our products employs a large number of individuals from the community, providing jobs in the district and a steady income for our workers.
